When I moved to Blogger in the summer of 2009, the easiest way to set up a good-looking blog was to download a free template from one of the many template repositories online. The template I picked was lovely but even then is was not compatible with some of Blogger’s newer features and required some tweaking to get it to work. That incompatibility has gotten worse as Blogger, in all its awesomeness, has continued to add new features. There are several things not working now and it is beyond the point where I can tweak it back to life. So, it’s time for a change.
I could do what I did before and download another groovy template (how about this one?), but instead I think I will take advantage of Blogger’s new Template Designer. By using the built-in design tool I can avoid future incompatibility issues and save myself some coding as well. Things might go catawampus for a bit as I convert to the new template, but it shouldn’t be long before it’s all sorted out. I hope you all enjoy the new look!
