The people at Poverty.com have a new website, Free Rice, where you can test your lexicographical skills and donate food through the World Food Programme. It is advertiser supported—an amount equivalent to 10 grains of rice is donated to the World Food Programme for every right answer. The more you get correct, the harder the words get. I got up to level 50 a few times but was defeated by words like grig, coxa, and verecund. How high can you get? Here's a hint: if an answer seems too obvious, it's probably correct. There are no trick questions.
