Thrift Store Gold Mine

There is a thrift store in my neck of the woods that doesn't look like much—it's small, volunteer-run, and has only household items (clothes are at another "branch")—but it has great books dirt cheap. Here is a list of my haul of the last couple of weeks:

Skookum Wawa: Writings of the Canadian Northwest
Fresh Tracks: Writing the Western Landscape (unread)
The eye in the thicket: essays at natural history (unread)
Sex and the City (I figured I should read it since I enjoy the show so much)
Canadian Poetry: From the Beginnings Through the First World War (unread)
The Oxford Book of Canadian Short Stories in English (Atwood ed.)
The New Oxford Book of Canadian Verse in English (Atwood ed.)
A Matter of Spirit: Recovery of the Sacred in Contemporary Canadian Poetry (I couldn't resist the St. Hildegard of Bingen mandala on the cover) (unread)

Not bad, eh?
