As I've mentioned before, I generally don't make New Year's resolutions, but I thought that I might note down some general intentions for next year's reading. Perhaps this will help me cut back on the brain candy and steer me towards more nutritious fare. I think of it as the equivalent of taping a food pyramid on the refrigerator. So, here's what I have in mind for 2007:
- curtail "impulse reading" by writing down interesting titles instead of ordering them immediately from the library
- read some Shakespeare
- read some fun books on books and reading
- read some nature writing and ecotheology (part of my quest to resuscitate my other blog)
- learn how to spell "recuscitate" without having to look it up each time!
- above all, focus on The Plan
Now if only I could get this post to automatically self-destruct in 365 days so I won't have to see how poorly I did!
