If I ever have the good fortune to find myself in Wichita, Kansas, I know exactly where I'll go. Eighth Day Books, the "eclectic but orthodox" bookstore that stocks "classics in religion, philosophy, history, and literature." Be still my beating heart.
From their "About" page:
…we're selective, offering an eccentric community of books based on this organizing principle: if a book—be it literary, scientific, historical, or theological—sheds light on ultimate questions in an excellent way, then it's a worthy candidate for inclusion in our catalog.
Their selection of "Books on Books" is overseen by a very familiar German fellow (Herr Bücherwurm). He caught my attention, and then their catalogue wowed me. If you feel you must know the meaning of life, the universe, and everything, this might be the bookstore for you.
