Literary Latin

The foreword of The Most Beautiful Libraries in the World features these two latin inscriptions from the Library of Congress:

Liber dilectatio anime
Books, the delight of the soul

Litera scripta manet
The written word endures.

I don't know what's more beautiful, these libraries or the spirit behind them.
